Dr. Saeid Homayouni is an associate professor at the National Institute for Scientific Research (INRS) Center for Water, Land and the Environment. He is a renowned researcher in the field of remote sensing in northern environments.

Professor Homayouni’s research and teaching interests mainly include geomatics, remote sensing, and the analysis of optical Earth observations and synthetic aperture radar using advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches for urban and agro-environmental uses.

Mr. Homayouni, together with Ms. Monique Bernier, will organize the 10th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics and the 43rd Symposium of the Canadian Remote Sensing Society. This event will welcome, in July 2022, 400 experts at the Québec City Convention Centre.
