Physiotherapist Elaine Maheu, co-owner of Physiothérapie Maheu Killens, reeled in the 2012 Event of the Year Award for attracting the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists’ 2012 IFOMPT Conference to Québec City. It drew 1,500 participants to the Québec City Convention Centre and generated local economic spinoffs of $3.2 million.
