Grant Vandenberg is a full professor in the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at Université Laval, and is active in several research projects including the Biological Recycling and Aquaculture Research Group.
He is also responsible for the project to create a Chair of Leadership in Teaching the Production and Processing of Edible Insects, whose primary objective is to integrate notions of entomoculture into animal sciences’ baccalaureate courses, then to create courses specific to this discipline for second and third cycle students.
Vandenberg is organizing the 4th International Insects to Feed the World Conference at which nearly 500 experts in the subject are expected in Québec City in 2022.
The Insects to Feed the World Conference is a creation of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). It will be the only international conference specializing in the mass production of edible insects.
