Organizing a virtual event was a challenge that Stéphane Godbout and his team took on when the global pandemic hit. As a research engineer at the Institut de recherche et de développement en agroenvironnement (IRDA) and proud Québec City Ambassador’s Club member, he explains how, with a little ingenuity and creativity, the organizing committee was able to transform the 5th edition of the international CIGR conference into a highly successful virtual event. In only four months and thanks to several partners, he was able to adapt and create a complete and professional conference program for attendees in over 50 countries.
