Simon Duchesne was Ambassador of the Year in 2015. He is an associate professor with Université Laval’s Faculty of Medicine, co-head of the research section of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, a researcher with Centre de recherche de l’Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Québec, and head of neuroimaging platform of the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging. He is also an engineer.
Dr. Duchesne was a leading organizer and co-director of “the Breast Practices,” a series of 13 educational events held worldwide together with 30+ webinars that bought training in breast cancer detection, intervention, and treatment to more than 3,500 healthcare professionals in at least 60 countries.
In 2017 he was the general chair of the 20th International MICCAI Conference in Québec City.
