Nancy Gélinas is the first woman in Université Laval’s history to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics. She is also a professor and researcher in forest economics.
She was fully educated at Université Laval, having obtained degrees from three faculties, and has followed a multidisciplinary path culminating in a Doctorate in Forest Sciences, with a specialization in political economy. Her research projects focus on social, economic and governance aspects, in which players from multiple-resources participate.
Gélinas and her colleague Alain Olivier from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences have co-organized the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry (WCA5) in July 2022 at the Québec City Convention Centre, a first in Canada!
