Marc Pouliot is a full professor in the Department of Microbiology-Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Laval University, and Director of the Infectious and Immune Diseases Division, in the CHU de Québec – Laval University Research Center. His expertise focuses on inflammation in autoimmune diseases such as lupus. The main goal of his work is to identify new therapies targeting an immune cell called neutrophils.
The international Neutrophil symposium, held in Québec City in 2018 and for which Mr. Pouliot participated in the organization, received an award in the Events category during the Tribute Evening that took place in January 2019. This symposium attracted 200 of the world’s foremost researchers working on this topic.
In July 2024, Mr. Pouliot will organize the 16th World Congress on Inflammation (WCI). The event will take place at the Québec City Convention Centre.
