Marc-André Fortin is a regular researcher on regenerative medicine and an Associate Professor in the Department of Mining, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Université Laval. The purpose of his laboratory’s research is to develop new materials that provide improved contrast properties in various biomedical imaging procedures. The laboratory is hosted by the CHU de Québec’s Research Centre, one of the largest biomedical research centres in Canada, with strong expertise in biomaterials, oncology and regenerative medicine.
In 2022, he and his colleague Élodie Boisselier will be responsible for organizing the Gold 2022 Conference in Québec City, an event for gold-based technologies that will bring together nearly 500 specialists.
