Luc Beaulieu, in addition to being a researcher at the CHU de Québec – Université Laval, is a full professor in the Department of Physics, Engineering Physics and Optics at Université Laval, Director of the graduate program in medical physics (since 2011) and Director of the Cancer Research Centre at Université Laval (since 2012).
Mr. Beaulieu is interested in the various facets of the use of ionizing radiation for medical purposes, in particular cancer. This involves developing new types of dosimeter and numerical calculations using the Monte-Carlo method as well as the developing intervention systems using real-time imaging guidance.
In 2022, Beaulieu was responsible for the 11th International Conference on 3D Dose Measurements and Advanced Dosimetry.
