Irène Abi-Zeid and Angel Ruiz of the Operations and Decision Systems Department of Université Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration, together with Bernard Gendron of Université de Montréal, picked up the 2017 Event of the Year Award for the 21st Conference of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies. The event drew 1,528 attendees to the Québec City Convention Centre in July 2017 and generated $5.4 million in economic impacts for the region.
