Mr. Beaudoin leads the NSERC/Agnico-Eagle Industrial Research Chair in Mineral Exploration. He is on the board of the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA). He also directs the DIVEX network and edits the international scientific journal Mineralium Deposita, in addition to participating actively in various research projects.
For the first time in 26 years, the 14th Biennial Meeting of SGA was held in North America thanks to Georges Beaudoin and his team. More than 700 researchers and experts in mineral deposit geology from across the globe gathered in Québec City in August 2017.
