With a background in forestry engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Brigitte Bigué has been working as a research manager at Université Laval for over 20 years. Her atypical career has led her to develop ambitious strategic projects for the province of Québec. She works on the development of major multidisciplinary projects with partners from different fields: researchers, industrialists, public and private organizations, northern communities and northern First Nations. She is also involved in the development of the Réseau Ligniculture Québec (RLQ) for the Québec forestry regime and more recently, in the Institut nordique du Québec (INQ) of Université Laval, for the development of Northern Québec and the Canadian Arctic. She is in charge of the executive direction of the INQ since the early stages of its creation, in 2014. Ms. Bigué was responsible for the organization of the 4th UArctic Assembly from May 29 to 26, 2023 at Université Laval.
