Marc-André Sirard, director of the Reproductive Biology Research Centre and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Animal Reproductive Applied Functional Genomics, picked up the 2005 Event of the Year Award for the Annual Meeting of the Society for the Study of Reproduction, which drew 1,200 participants to the Québec City Convention Centre and had local economic impacts of $2 million.
