For a second consecutive year, the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre has partnered with the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec to attract major international conferences and conventions to Qu\u00e9bec City. Together, the two organizations announced the beginning of the Soutien \u00e0 l\u2019organisation de congr\u00e8s internationaux<\/em> Competition.<\/p>\n

If you are a researcher or member of Qu\u00e9bec City\u2019s Ambassadors\u2019 Club\u2014and are looking to organize a scientific conference to be held after January 2021, this competition is for you! You could win one of two grants of $10,000 for an event that will welcome over 300 participants, or one of two grands of $5,000 for an event that will host between 150 and 300 attendees.<\/p>\n

For the 2019 contest, prizes were awarded to three scientific researchers who are members of Qu\u00e9bec City\u2019s Ambassadors\u2019 Club<\/a>: Line Rochefort, Carole Despr\u00e9s and Ernesto Morales<\/strong>. These prizes were offered to thank the winners for their hard work and dedication in bringing scientific events to Qu\u00e9bec City.<\/p>\n

Interested candidates can apply for a grant that will help them organize their next international conferences. The deadline is October 15, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.<\/strong> For more information and contest details,\u00a0visit the competition\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
