The three $10,000 prizes are awarded to recognize the work of researchers who, by organizing scientific conferences, generate significant economic spinoffs and help raise the profile of the Qu\u00e9bec City area.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony took place on January 16, 2020, in the Le Diamant theatre as part of the Ambassadors Recognition Gala organized by Qu\u00e9bec City Business Destination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Award winners:<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Line Rochefort<\/strong>, Universit\u00e9 Laval \u2013 Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences<\/p>\n<p>Qu\u00e9bec RE<sup>3<\/sup> Conference<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carole Despr\u00e9s<\/strong>, Universit\u00e9 Laval \u2013 School of Architecture<\/p>\n<p>Biannual Conference of the International Association of People-Environment Studies (IAPS)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ernesto Morales<\/strong>, Universit\u00e9 Laval \u2013 Faculty of Medicine<\/p>\n<p>IVth Colloque franco-latino-am\u00e9ricain de recherche sur le handicap<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe many opportunities that conferences allow for sharing ideas and networking are vital to developing knowledge, sparking research collaborations, and advancing scientific careers.
