{"id":2640,"date":"2018-09-05T16:52:25","date_gmt":"2018-09-05T15:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cercledesambassadeurs.com\/en\/?p=2640"},"modified":"2018-09-27T15:53:37","modified_gmt":"2018-09-27T14:53:37","slug":"ten-students-universite-laval-boost-program-scientists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cercledesambassadeurs.com\/en\/news\/ten-students-universite-laval-boost-program-scientists\/","title":{"rendered":"Ten students at Universit\u00e9 Laval\u2019s Robotics Laboratory get a boost from program to support the next generation of scientists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new program to support the next generation of scientists sent ten lucky students from Universit\u00e9 Laval\u2019s Robotics Lab, led by Professor Cl\u00e9ment Gosselin, to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers\u2019 (ASME) International Design Engineering Technical Conference and Computers &amp; Information in Engineering Conference<em> (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asme.org\/events\/idetccie\"><em>IDETC\/CIE<\/em><\/a><em>).<\/em> Held at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.convention.qc.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre<\/a> from August 26 to 29, 2018, the conference was attended by over 1,000 engineers.<\/p>\n<p>The program\u2014which was developed by the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre and the Ambassadors\u2019 Club in collaboration with the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE)\u2014helps students attend international and North American conferences held in Qu\u00e9bec City and encourages them to pursue careers in science.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy attending this scientific conference in Qu\u00e9bec City, students from the Robotics Laboratory were able to compare their research work to other international projects.
