Thanks to Line Rochefort and her team, Québec City will welcome the Conférence Québec RE3 in June 2019, an event that will for the first time bring together three major organizations interested in the ecological wetlands management: the Society for Wetlands Scientists (SWS), the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) and the Canadian Land Reclamation Association (CLRA).
Line Rochefort is a professor in the Plant Sciences Department at Université Laval, and is an internationally renowned expert in peat land ecology. As Ambassador of the Year 2013, she has organized numerous events to encourage international exchanges in peat land conservation and restoration research
