For a second consecutive year, the Québec City Convention Centre has partnered with the Fonds de recherche du Québec to attract major international conferences and conventions to Québec City. Together, the two organizations announced the beginning of the Soutien à l’organisation de congrès internationaux Competition.

If you are a researcher or member of Québec City’s Ambassadors’ Club—and are looking to organize a scientific conference to be held after January 2021, this competition is for you! You could win one of two grants of $10,000 for an event that will welcome over 300 participants, or one of two grands of $5,000 for an event that will host between 150 and 300 attendees.

For the 2019 contest, prizes were awarded to three scientific researchers who are members of Québec City’s Ambassadors’ Club: Line Rochefort, Carole Després and Ernesto Morales. These prizes were offered to thank the winners for their hard work and dedication in bringing scientific events to Québec City.

Interested candidates can apply for a grant that will help them organize their next international conferences. The deadline is October 15, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. For more information and contest details, visit the competition’s website.
